Probate Kit

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 July 2026

Probate Kit ("we", "us") is the trading name used by Chris Ungureanu for the website probatekit.co.uk. We take your privacy seriously and keep this policy short and readable.

Who we are

Probate Kit provides educational information about the probate process in England and Wales. You can contact us about anything in this policy at hello@probatekit.co.uk.

What we collect and why

Your email address, when you request a cost breakdown or guide through a form on this site. We use it to send you the material you asked for and a short series of practical probate emails. The lawful basis is your consent, which you give by submitting the form and can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.

Basic usage data, such as pages visited and approximate location derived from your IP address, collected through cookies and similar technologies. We use this to understand how the site is used and to measure advertising. Where this involves non-essential cookies, we ask for your consent.

We do not collect sensitive personal data, and we never sell your data.

Who processes your data

Systeme.io (our website and email platform) stores your email address and sends our emails. Cloudflare provides our domain and network services. Meta (Facebook and Instagram) may set advertising cookies when we run ads, used to measure whether our ads work. You can control advertising cookies in your browser and in your Meta ad preferences.

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on recognised safeguards such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Unsubscribing stops all marketing immediately.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it or delete it, object to our use of it, or withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@probatekit.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update this page and the date above.

Probate Kit provides educational information for England and Wales, not legal advice. If inheritance tax is due, or the estate involves a trust, a dispute, or more debts than assets, take professional advice.
